 In the hilarious and interactive Crash Course Humour successful comedians Rob Urgert and Bastiaan Geleijnse afford us a glimpse behind the scenes in the working life of a comedian.
Armed only with a laptop and beamer they unveil the secrets of humour- from razor-sharp irony to belly shaking ‘custard pie in the face’ gags.
The technique of making a joke and being funny will be examined in painstaking detail and you will get crystal clear answers to questions like:
- How do I make someone laugh?
- What makes or breaks a good gag?
- When does a joke go too far?
- Does everyone have a sense of humour?
- Who or what makes the best target for a joke?
The performance length is 30 to 45 minutes. The course treads a dextrous line between a Cabaret show and a Workshop: So… lots of laughs and lots to learn!
